Artwork
Transparent PNGs work best. Transparent = no ink.
Mode
BG / Preview
Leave this off for transparent PNGs. White artwork will export as its own color when it is opaque.
Export
Exports are resampled to width × height × DPI. Example: 12 in at 300 DPI exports at 3600 px wide.
Bitmap TIFFs
Halftones are controlled by screen frequency, similar to print LPI. Cell size is calculated as export DPI ÷ LPI. Example: 300 DPI ÷ 45 LPI = 6.7 pixels per halftone cell.
Texture
Texture is knocked out of every separation before bitmap preview/export. Scale controls the repeating pattern size.
Exports
Bitmap exports are uncompressed 1-bit TIFF files with embedded DPI metadata. Regular PNG exports still use the calculated pixel dimensions.
Palette
Prototype note: this is a practical MVP, not a replacement for press-specific trapping, underbase choke/spread, halftone angles, mesh/LPI choices, or shop-specific output settings.
